Roy Humphrey Group, Eye

Working closely with interior fit-out company Zentura and the Roy Humphrey Group we were asked to provide a full lighting design and proposals for their new Prestige Cars Showroom at Eye, selling high-end executive cars and sports cars.

Our Lighting Design team provided several proposals in 3D to give them an idea of what the finished project would actually look like. Once the preferred option was decided on we provided full CAD drawings along with PDF lay out plans for all areas, complete with data sheets, all within 10 days.

The remit was to provide a complete LED design solution that was both cutting edge, aesthetically pleasing and at the same time being energy efficient and within their budget. We were asked to provide our own specification regarding lux levels in all areas plus full design criteria and choice of luminaires, making sure we complied with the latest industry guidelines. We introduced coloured LED strip to match the Roy Humphrey Group company logo and additionally picked up this colour in several of the luminaires.

At Beacon Lights we like a challenge and this project was to be no exception. One of their particular requirements was to provide a linear suspended industrial lighting system in the main sales area. Particular attention had to be given to this to achieve the required general lux level with additional directional high output LED spot lights to illuminate the cars. The scheme also had to be adaptable to cater for future changes to the floor layouts.

Specialising in LED light strip at Beacon Lights, we were able to come up with a solution for illuminating the unusual angles and the structure of the building, both inside and outside. We pre-assemble LED strip to any length in-house, in dimmable or IP rated versions and in a variety of wattages and colours, at our premises in Leiston. These can come complete with an extensive range of extrusion to overcome specific mounting challenges.

There were several key areas such as the hand-over bay and seating area on the first floor, where the customer experience was key. We believe we have succeeded in creating an atmosphere in these areas through attention to detail and empathising with the specific locational needs.

We are privileged to work with a number of forward thinking companies, and working with Zentura was a pleasure. Between us we came up with an excellent solution to the Roy Humphrey Group’s requirements and needs. Following receipt of the order all of the luminaires were on-site within 2-8 weeks, including special orders direct from Italy.
